HH F.A POTTS-JOHNSON GEORGE

WELCOME ADDRESS BY THE DEPUTY AMAYANABO OF TWON BRASS: HH F.A POTTS-JOHNSON GEORGE ON THE OCCASION OF THE COMMISSIONING OF A COLDROOM IN TWON BRASS. - 23rd January, 2018.

Editorial Commendation
It gives me great pleasure to extend to you all a very warm welcome on behalf of the Amayanabo of Twon Brass and to say how grateful we are to his wife, the Queen of Twon Brass Kingdom: Dr. Mrs Josephine Diete-Spiff, whose golden initiative has brought about this gathering today. It is gratifying to note that today's event is brought about by divine arrangement; otherwise we wouldn't have had any reason(s) to be gathered here today. Not in any particular order, but as tradition demands, let me in absentia; welcome the presence of the Amayanabo of Twon Brass and his amiable wife who is here present with us. Let me also welcome the representatives of NAOC, Twon Brass, whose generosity has resulted into fruition the initiative of the Queen. The Queen is a very resourceful person and without any intention to flatter. Twon Brass has greatly benefited from her rich imaginations that have always turned out to become landmark events. I also welcome her three colleagues who are here present.
We cannot forget in a hurry her selfless disposition to ensuring that persons who are not endowed as she is also benefit from the grace of God in her. Just recently, the Queen in her magnanimity granted to our children and grand-children and all expense paid post primary scholarship in her school. As if this is not enough, she also recently, furnished some of our educational institutions with chairs and tables. As if that also was not enough, today we are here again to commission a cold room that is the initiative of a woman who is so interested in the growth and development of her people. We cannot thank God enough for this royal gem He has given us, but pray that this beautiful lady of the King shall go down in history as a Twon woman by marriage who gave her all to her kingdom of inheritance. We say your reward shall be yea and Amen. Let me also place on record our appreciation for the presence of three other Queens in this project.
This speech cannot be complete without specially appreciating the sponsors (NAOC) of this wonderful project. The attendant monumental importance to this project cannot be over emphasized, especially at this time when the supply in food and production of perishable goods, such as fruits and vegetables continues to rise. To say the least, cold-rooms are very important because it helps to prolong the shelf life of fresh foods, reduce the amount of waste and lengthens the timeframe for marketing these foods. Let us therefore, brace ourselves to our duties of ensuring the sustainability of this facility. This task is not the singular responsibility of any particular person of group of persons, but a responsibility to all of us.
Thank you and God bless you all.
